This time, It’s not an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but a restoration thread of a 1930 Model A Ford in 1972.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

No V8 swap, no hot rod, just a amateur restoration.

Was it interesting? Sure.

Is it exciting? Probably not at the time.

So, a question: What would be the equivalent restoration today? Dad was 30, and was restoring a 42 year old car. What 42* year old car today would a 30 year old restore and not modify it?

*which oddly enough would be a 1972 model car, which would have been in showrooms when these photos were taken.

And for those of you thinking I was lazy, just standing around like a 3-year old, I actually pulled my finger out of my nose long enough to do a little wet sanding. (although I’m not sure how long I actually stuck around after this photo was taken)

Notice that even back in 1973, the camera was never too far after the hose was put down.

Yeah. I'm also photobombing in the first photo after paint.

Lord knows where that thing went. About two years later, we moved and it came with us. Shortly after that he sold it and bought a C2 Stingray convertible.

Last time I saw it I was 5 years old.

My only memories of it is that the windshield tilted out, gas would splash up behind the fuel gauge (since the tank was right behind it), and the horn.

It was one of the cars I drove from his lap.

I should post this somewhere for all the stance kids so when they think about putting that dapper sticker on their car, they can remember my four-year-old self laughing at them.

You should share this again before the end; I think you’ll have to apply the “in-house don’t need credits” tweak though before you can.

Yeah, I reshared the “Tales from the back seat” post recently, and you can no longer just reset the clock and publish it . You have to go through every damn photo and label it.

No thanks. :(

There’s an “apply to all” slider now.
